If you want to know a little bit about me, my name is Isabel Kumerz, I am from Spain and I am a painter.
I live in State College, Pennsylvania and I have been doing art for over 25 years because I absolutely love to create.
One of my weakness (for the art world) is that I love to experiment and continuously try new things. It’s like taking a trip into an undiscovered territory using new materials and tools to learn another visual language. This doesn’t help me to have a coherent body of work but it helps me tremendously to evolve as an artist.
The main subject matter in my paintings is the connection with cultures, nature and my environment.

Instead of keeping that information to myself, I want to share it with other artists that maybe don’t have the time to search for solutions to their problems.

I teach painting focusing on the creative process. I help students to lose their fears of doing wrong, to take risks experimenting and to learn how to express themselves visually.
